Tammy
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, I too have just lost my father through cancer, although he had a brain tumour he actually got pnuemonia before the treatment started for the cancer. From the time of diagnosis to him passing away it was only 2 months. He passed away 18th October 2000. My father would have been 80 at Christmas and was a very active man, loved life, went bowling, ballroom dancing and even had a girlfriend whom we all loved dearly.
My sister and i nursed him for three full days watching the life drain out of his body we never left his side we had to fight to get pain relief for him.
Since his passing i have suffered terrible nightmares and keep reliving those last three days its as though i am torturing myself. And the pain inside is physicaly and mentally draining me to the point as if i cannot carry on.
All i am saying is that i am feeling exactly the same hurt as you i loved my father so much words cannot express he has been part of my life for 46 years and always there when i needed him. I have spoken to my local vicar and having a metting with a counsellor later in the week. My heart cries out for you Tammy and i hope time will heal i know we will never forget them but we must try to remeber the happy times we spent with them.
I will pray for you tonight when i pray for my father
Angela
