CONNIE, I HAVE LOST A LOT IN MY LIFE AND READING YOUR LETTER BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF THE PAIN. I AM NOT A VERY RELIGIOUS PERSON SO I DIDNT LOOSE ANY FAITH WHEN I WAS TOLD MY TWINS DIED BECAUSE GOD WANTED IT THAT WAY. THEY DIED IN A FIRE AND I DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY A GOD ANY ONE WOULD WANT TO BELIEVE IN COULD ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. I SAW MY HUSBAND BECOME A ALCOHOLIC BECAUSE SOME HOW I WAS ABLE TO GO ON WITH MY LIFE. TEN YEARS LATER AFTER WE DIVORSED MY TIME TO BREAK DOWN CAME. I GUESS I HELD IT IN TRYING TO HOLD US TOGETHER... TO BE THE STRONG ONE. I REMARRIED AND SINCE THEN LOST BOTH OF MY PARENTS. I HAD TO COMBAT ALCOHOLISM WITH MY CURRENT HUSBAND BUT I STAYED WITH HIM AND THE ALCOHOL DIDN'T WIN THIS TIME. I WAS 19 YEARS OLD WHEN MY TWINS DIED AND I'M 49 YEARS OLD NOW. I'VE LOST A LOT OF GOOD YEARS BUT HAVE THE REST OF MY LIFE TO ENJOY MY HUSBAND, DAUGHTER & GRANDCHILD. WHEN DO YOU GET BETTER?? I'VE READ 2 YEARS SEEMS TO BE THE TYPICAL TIME FRAME. LOOK AT YOUR CHILDREN AND YOU'LL HAVE ALL THE STRENGHT YOU NEED TO CONTINUE. SOME DAY YOU'LL LOOK BACK LIKE I DID AT A PAINFULL MEMORY.
