I ended on this site looking for a place to share my grief. You seemed to express my feelings. I lost my husband in May, 2001 after a tough year and a half dealing with Lou Gehrig Disease (ALS). I tried every avenue of treatment and never lost hope until finally my husband gave up and I believe willed himself to die. This disease robbed him of an active outdoor life we both shared to de-stress our careers. We did everything together, kind of connected at the hip so to speak. We were married for 15 years, a second marriage for him and my first. I tried jounal writing, meditation but life is lonely without him and I am sad a lot. I have no advice, but the talking helps. Thanks.
