I also am 54, and I lost my best friend one year ago, on 10/25/99. Yesterday marked the first anniversary of his funeral.
My children are all grown and living far from me, it is a 6-hr. drive to visit them, but that is my fault. I left our house and
bought another here in SW Ontario. I also got a job, but time is still heavy and the hurt just doesn't go away! No one understands
the lonliness and feelings of loss that accompany the death of your best friend and partner except another who has had to live with the same pain.
I just found this site, and hope to meet others like us to correspond with.
