I lost my dear sister Diane to Breast Cancer on July 18, 2002 at the age of 52. With dignity and grace, just as she lived her life, our precious angel has entered into eternal rest. I am Dianeís brother, Lyn. Before Diane died she wanted so much to share her story with the world in hopes that her experiences with breast cancer would help others. She spent many weeks in her bed at home and later at Hospice typing on a old laptop and always said "that if no one wants it thatís fine too, but it could be very therapeutic just to put it all down for once in a human experience reality garbled sort of way". She is at peace now and without pain but it has been difficult for family and friends as we attempt to continue on with our lives in the absence of Diane.
I have done my best to put her own words together for her and I invite you to visit her Home Page at http://diane.ponpines.com/ to read what she has left behind for not just her family but for all of us. I sincerely believe, that even in death, Diane is helping so many people dealing with this dreaded disease through her web site.
I think that God saw her getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around her, and whispered, "Come to me". She didn't deserve what she went through, so he gave her rest. God's garden must be beautiful, he only takes the very best and when I saw Diane sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain I could not wish her back to suffer through that again.
Thank you so much for this message board and for the opportunity to share Diane's Story!
In Loving Memory Of my sister Diane De Tar.
You will be loved and missed forever.
My Warmest Regards and Best Wishes to all of you,
Diane's Brother, Lyn Bissonette
