Good for you thinking of others given the issues you are personally dealing with. If you are stable on your meds for bi-polar and PTSD then there are many ways to volunteer. Find something that you are interested in. For example, I enjoy working with animals, children and the individulas suffering from AIDS. I don't have a lot of free time but there is always a day that I can offer to go to a school and give a speech on my hell of an upbringing and where I am today. When I was pregnant my husband and I walked around our neighborhood and painting dont dump on the storm drains. On weekends a lot of places are looking for people willing to work with the less fortunate. Since you are bi-polar even offering support to those who are recently diagnosed. My mother is also bi-polar but refuses to take meds. If I can be of any assistance in that area let me know. Good luck and congratualtions for dealing with your bi-polar and PTSD.
