Hi Amy. I've been widowed 8 1/2 years and the good news is that it does get better. The bad news is that it takes a long time, much longer than a year. In fact sometimes the second year is even harder because it's been a year and they are still dead and you don't know who you are any more but everyone expects you to move on. I hope you are finding other widows/widowerers locally that you can talk to.
