Malc - I have read your posting and I understand how you are feeling. I am a little older than you and live in the UK. I lost my darling husband six years ago and I can honestly say that life is not the same. Your wife wants you to make a new life for yourself but you will never forget her. I know what you mean when you say that the divorced do not understand - they don't! And who wants all the baggage that comes with that? I think there should be an organisation to introduce widows and widowers to each other. I am sure there must be one - I just haven't come across it. However, you havee your children who are still dependent upon you and I am sure you will find happiness one day. My thoughts are with you - Barbie
