I am so saddened by your loss. It has been 3
years since I lost my daughter, my baby. She was
24 and lost her life in a hit-and-run accident.
Time does help, though the pain never goes away.
The "gifts" that have come my way unexpectedly and
have truly helped are: THE BROKEN HEART STILL
SPEAKS, an anthology for grieving parents; a book
on grief by Bob Dietz (his granddaughter found my
daughter and called 911); a CD called SAND AND
WATER by Beth Nielson Chapman; and I joined a
grief group 2 years after the fact. I went with
a grieving friend, but it helped me so much. It
was offered through a group known as the Stephens
Ministry.
There is also a beautiful children's book called
THE NEXT PLACE by Warren Hansen. It is a journey
of hope.
You will be in my prayers.
