I do know how you feel -- albeit from the reverse.. My wife Monica passed away from Breast Cancer 2-1/2 years ago, at age 35.
I can still smell the fresh red roses I'd hide 'til she was asleep, & then place on the counter so she'd be greeted by them when she first awoke...
There is a poem on Monica's website about the red roses -- though it is about another couple, many found it very special..
