I was widowed 20 years ago when I was 34 years of age. My children were 12 and 7 at the time so I had my work cut out. Firstly I had to get them through the grieving and then I had to get them through the various stages of their lives. They are now 32 and 27. All three of us still have our moments when we are overcome but generally, as the years roll by we find a way of coping and we stick very close together in order to look after each other. Of course my girls are married now and I am very proud that they have grown into wonderful young women after losing their father so sudenly through a heart attack when they were very young.
